Hmm, let’s see…I have tried to cook with my slow cooker for years, and sometimes it does work out, but most of the time, no, just no. I add whatever is in the fridge with some spices of various ages, you know the ones, the ones who seem to be in your pantry forever and you keep using them well past their date. Well. I have actually looked at some recipes. I bought a bottle of adobo sauce and wanted to make something using it, so I looked up some recipes and bought all the sauces and vinegars needed, espesially since it is coming on winter and I wanted to make some crockpot meals…so I bought soy sauce, white wine vinegar and apple cider vinegar and a few more types.
I made an adobo meatballl 2 quart stew that actually turned out pretty good. I followed the recipe and found that I liked it, but i was missing something, I though… Miso! that would make it soooo much better, and give it that depth of flabor that I thought was missing. Also, I needed to add some more potato, carrot and onion to it. I only added half and realied that even though it is only a 2 quart slow cooker, I can add the whole vegetable.
I also am so so at baking. The first time always turns out great, you know, the first time luck, so happens. I can never make it as good again. Sigh…always trying though. I’m going to make a double cake teired pinapple upside down cake this year and try to make it not boring. We will see. I’ll keep you updated, but that will be a holiday bake so wait and see. #baking #failbaking #pineappleupsidedowncake #stews
